ASUS’s new TUF F16 has some nice improvements over last year’s F15, and it’s a pretty good gaming laptop overall, but there’s one stupid thing holding it back.

  1. Hi can somebody tell me is this a good deal for 1000 euros. This was the only gaming laptop with a decent screen i found for 1k.Thanks

    MSI Pulse 16 AI 16 Inch 16:10 QHD+ 240Hz Gaming Laptop – (Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD,

  2. non full size arrow keys.

I don’t understand. This is like 30% of the reason to buy a gaming laptop lmao.

  3. That cooling pad soo bad you should change to the llano v10 or v12 they a lot better they push air in not kust against the undeside of the laptop

  4. Hayyyyu finally

After a week of having my laptop busted out the 4tb sticks and 2tb spares as well as some 32gb ram just to be able to play some Fallout4 with mods wink

  5. I had an A15 for a week, and I was noticing too many flaws especially with the BIOS system. None of the troubleshooting worked so i swapped it for a legion 7i which was $850 extra but gave me more of a safe feeling knowing it would be less sketchy.

  6. brother I have a query regarding my Lenovo IdeaPad l340…I want to upgrade my RAM from 8 to 16 rn I have 16 gb ram ddr4 3200 MHz available, will it be healthy for my Mobo and performance or should I go for 2400 MHz only,in ur video I noticed you install 2666mhz. Please reply.

    Thankyou.

  7. Between
    Acer helios neo 18:
    i9 14th gen, 32gb ram, 4060rtx, 165hz refresh rate.
    And
    Lenovo legion 5i:
    i9 14th gen, 32gb ram, 4060rtx, 240hz refresh rate.
    Which is better?

  8. Guys dont buy TUF series ive TUF FX505DT…thermal performance is really bad. After 5 years now in 2024 i face constant gpu crashing even in cpu heavy games like valorant, cs2. Ive changed the thermal compound just a few days back, ive bought a cooling pad but its still the same. It sucks ass

  9. Hey Jarrod I was looking to buy the A16 but I saw many people on forums online about issues regarding it just as the blue screen or sleep mode issues. Should I go for it or is it something to not be worried about?

  10. Hi Jarrod, I am going to buy a laptop, but am a bit confused between Lenovo legion 7i 4070 GPU and Acer Predator helios 16 4080 GPU. Can you suggest which one shall I go with.

  11. I have a 2020 A15 TUF laptop. The cooling of it sucks because of the chassis and the screen is low quality.
Then I bought the 2022 A15 version with a very good 2560 x 1440p, 144 Hz monitor, but the chassis was even weaker and one day, after having owned it for 4 months, writing on it the laptop short circuited and died.
    Never ASUS again!

  12. Hi Jarrod, I was faced with dilemma when buying a new gaming laptop, here are my choices

    1. Lenovo Legion 5i, i5 – 13450HX, RTX 4050, $1050
    2. Asus Rog Zephyrus M16, 12700H, RTX 3060, $ 1300

Which is a better option here? I am not buying Asus TUF again because I am one of the victim of quad core TUF dash f15

  13. I got it for 1000€, the 450nits 1600p, 13650hx, 4060, 16gb ram version. Upgraded storage to 2x Samsung 990 pro (already had them) and the jump from the F15 2021 is gigantic, even tho i had it with cpu and ram overclocked and 130w vbios for gpu.

Added my old IETS GT500 and temps are amazing. The 1600p 16" panel is really good for working.

Already got the fastest 13650hx and 4060 in timespy (n°1), n°9 on timespy, 23k on cinebench r23. Pretty satisfied, especially for the price i got it. In my place, the closest 4060 laptop was 200€ more and with worse monitor and cpu.

Ps: with throttlestop, i can get it use 80w on cpu and full 105w on gpu while gaming with full 4.9ghz for all p-core. Undervolt+150w power limit+tdp up+IETS GT500 and it push really hard games that runs at above 140fps

  14. does tuf a14 exist in countries other than south korea? would love to see some in depth review in english as well

  15. I just picked up the Asus 16 advantage with Ryzen 7 and a rx 7700s for $699 on sale, if the 7700 is comparable to a 4060, thats a great value and will probably go on sale again before Black Friday

  16. All of my left handed friends use mouse on their right hand. I have never seen a person who uses mouse on his/her left hand

  17. folks, dont use armoury crate. install needed drivers, uninstall both myasus and AC and install ghelper. amazing stuff by a talented developer. will allow you to play on 165 on battery, automate things, easy eco switches and no bloat

  18. I was literally searching for a review of this laptop earlier today… uncanny 😂. I’m still on Intel 8th Gen GTX1050Ti LAPTOP Asus Strix from 2018… at this point anything at all is an upgrade.

  19. My Asus Rog Strix GL502V from 2017 still alive but struggling with 1060 6gb VRAM but Nvidia giving only 8gb for the 60 and 70 series on the laptop market is ridiculous so I will keep my old laptop

  20. Can I ask something? Well, I guess I can: is there a law somewhere that says gaming laptops have to be ugly? Fine, they’re thicker due to thermal issues, okay; but are they not allowed to look elegant?

  21. Why do people buy these laptops? For that kind of money, you can find a one- to three-year-old used Zephyrus or Legion in good condition. Same or better performance, and definitely better build quality, screen, speakers etc.

Thanks for the review, Jarrod. Outstanding as always.

  22. I’ve only just started watching your videos, great content and very helpful. Secondly, your music taste is phenomenal, big ups for the Kalmah shirt!

  23. I have the ASUS TUF A16 laptop with 7735hs and 7700s for a few months now. I honestly have no problems with it. I set the battery to 80% limit and that lasts my whole day at school and at home too. So that’s about 8+ hours. The fans can be turned off in battery saving mode. If you are not gaming or doing intensive tasks on battery the laptop wont overheat. The screen is fine for me. I don’t use my laptop outside so the brightness isn’t an issue. Only thing I wish it had was a fingerprint sensor or Windows hello.

  24. my biggest regret is buying a intel cpu i mean it’s great if you are running on the cable plucked in but it gets sometimes very loud and battery life is not that great. I have seen a listing of a Lenovo Legion slim 5 with r7 7840hs and rtx 4060 for like 1300€ so that would be a good deal. Sadly i didn’t research about laptop cpus that well so I ended up buying a Legion 5i with i7 13650hx and rtx 4060 graphics.
