  1. I had a blonde girl friend in my teens that was so out of my league that if she told me I could have my way with her but I would drop dead immediately after I would have gladly consented. I knew it couldn’t last forever so I just made the best of it. It was better than anything anyone ever heard. She still wakes me up sometimes. Bitch

  2. When I was young I had excellent hearing and no money to afford a high-end system; now I have the money but no hearing to afford it. Damn. Maybe in the next life!

  3. I would love to be able to buy a set up like that but I love my Facebook marketplace/pawn shop/goodwill sound system I have

  4. Beautiful System … I want one … except speakers I’m sure they sound amazing with the Mac Stack … Just not crazy about the look …. I think I would move this speakers on the outside where the subs are. If you have enough room to move You’re listening chair back wider sounds stage and look better Also .. I used to work for an audio phile shop I have listened to a lot of fine audio systems … Way Cool … But Way overpriced …its amazing how much more we pay for a little bit better.

  5. Good morning very nice, way way out of my price , I did notice at 12-22 there was like a power clip, I have play it back 4-5 times, not what I would expect, I am listening to this. I My very large transmission line loudspeaker cabinets. That I built approximately 40 odd years ago., just recently replaced the drivers with, SEAS 150w driver’s, NAD , I HAVE A VERY LARGE ATTIC, Approximately 7 1/2 m wide and nearly 12 m in length, 6 m to the pitch of the Roof, I think this is OTT, I am thinking of building a room in there at some point,
Great review on your McIntosh equipment , Retired English gentlemen living in France,

  6. I’m building DIY inspired speakers based on the B&W 802 D4s because I’m poor. But I do have a 3D printer and big brain. Fully active DSP crossover so I don’t have to build passive 3 way crossovers.

  7. If there is any confusion between digital and analogue signals and the quality of cables to be used. The quality of analogue audio cable is indeed subjective. Digital does not care. Don’t go searching for audiophile ethernet, USB or any cable that transmits digital data only. Digital only kit does not need to be decoupled acoustically from the environment, nor EMF wise either, unless listening in a workshop full of arc welding kit.

  8. Aprox max db? I’m a touring drummer, and use L’ acoustic k -,k-2,and rat (eaw) micro wedges. It’s aprox 142 at my drum kit and foh at desk is 118, which is brutally loud in the first 10 rows.

  9. Wow incredible, I’ve got taste similar to yours but not the budget..what did this setup run you “roughly?”

  10. Очень жаль, что не рассказали про разъемы всех компонентов и использованные кабели. Было бы интересно узнать, как всё это друг к другу подключено.

  11. That’s just silly. One of the best speakers ever made and yet you felt the need to add not even one, but two subwoofers?

  12. Crazy high-end setup! No expense spared.

I was just watching a video on the showcase of the 801D4 Signature with the Michi monoblocs. This setup is way heavier on electronics than even Bowers and Wilkins used to showcase their speakers 😀. Do these speakers need a sub and can a sub match the quality of bass of the Aerofoil bass woofers?

Never seen so many different ways of amplification and especially at the pre-amp and controller level. Just out of curiosity, did you use room correction at all?

  13. It certainly is beautiful. I however, am not a fan of Mac nor the new B&Ws. The sound is not my taste but systems are very personal and looks like you are happy and that’s all that matters.

  14. Excellent equipment…no doubt about it ? What is the price point on your system ? I have enjoyed my B&W Speakers for 20 years pretty awesome. The high stable power is a must. I selected mine at the store where the B&W were sold and tested 6 different amplifiers and or power and pre amp combinations. At the end I have enjoyed an analog system and totally satisfied with the quality in spades.

  15. Wow. Really impressed with the set up and in particular the very clear way you explained how this system works. How many people per month would you have to kill to afford a system such as that? Only joking but best wishes to enjoy that beautiful system. The speakers are incredible I am sure, but they look a bit robotic to me. This is just a personal thing of course. A question you may not be able to answer: if you had gone for a more conventional look for the speakers what would you have chosen? Mind you, I believe in function over form – what it does is more important to how it looks, so I am guessing you reckoned this was the best for your ear.

  16. It’s funny how all these interviewers and reviews on and show equipment that about 80% of the American public could never afford, for me right now it’s Klipsch 14 model 3s eclipse is it they’re the end game The rp-8000f Mark II the 600 m Mark II SVS subs
Amplifiers come from the house brand at summit and they’re great but when it comes to custom paneling and treat and when it comes to custom paneling and treatments for most people that is way out of their budget and you know it.. you guys really need to get genuinely real here the economy sucks nobody has any money I was talking to a very well-known audio company this morning.. who are genuinely worried about their lack of sales.. anyway good for you I’m glad you can afford to build a hundred-thousand-dollar home theater and watch whatever you like whenever you like again 80% of the American public could never hope to get anywhere near that
